About Victory Smart Home

Victory Smart Home is a sole-proprietor business owned by Victor, based in Surabaya, Indonesia, serving clients across Indonesia.

We design, install, and maintain home automation systems based on Home Assistant, an open-source project of the Open Home Foundation with which we are not affiliated. On completion you receive full administrator access to your system, and the configuration we build for you is yours to keep and change.

Website information

Information on victorysmarthome.com describes our services in general. It is not a binding quotation or a promise that a particular system, device, or integration will suit every project.

We aim to keep information accurate, but specifications, availability, and service details may change. Please contact us to confirm details relevant to your project.

Quotations and project agreements

Quotations are prepared separately for each project. Scope, pricing, payment arrangements, schedule, deliverables, and any exclusions are set out in the quotation or project agreement.

An enquiry by email or WhatsApp does not by itself confirm a booking or project. A project is agreed when you confirm the written quotation by email or WhatsApp, or pay the deposit stated in it, whichever comes first. Project agreements are issued in Bahasa Indonesia; an English version may also be provided.

Changes to an agreed scope may affect price and timing and should be agreed before the additional work proceeds. Either party may end a project as set out in the project agreement. Hardware already ordered for you and work already performed remain payable, and we will hand over any work completed to that point. If these website terms conflict with a project agreement, the project agreement governs that project, subject to applicable law.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate project information, necessary permissions, and safe access to the premises and systems needed for the agreed work.

Please tell us about relevant electrical, network, internet, or existing system limitations. Keep account credentials secure, change any temporary credentials after handover, and share system access only through an agreed method.

Third-party hardware and services

Hardware we supply is covered by the manufacturer’s or distributor’s warranty, and we will help you make a claim under it. Our own warranty on installation and configuration work is set out in the project agreement.

Home automation may depend on third-party devices, software, networks, or cloud services. Their availability and compatibility can change outside our control. Any work needed to address such changes will be handled under the project’s support terms or a separate quotation.

Warranty and support

Warranty coverage, support availability, maintenance scope, and any response commitments are defined in each project agreement. To the extent Indonesian law allows, our liability for a project is limited to the amount paid for that project, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost data or loss of use of third-party services. This does not limit liability for personal injury, death, or deliberate misconduct. This website does not create additional warranty or support commitments.

Nothing in these terms removes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indonesian law.

Remote maintenance

We carry out remote maintenance only with the client’s consent and through an encrypted WireGuard VPN. The access needed and the work to be performed will be agreed with the client. You may withdraw remote access at any time; when support ends or you ask, we remove our VPN configuration and credentials from your system.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information received through email or WhatsApp and describes the website’s use of Cloudflare.

Governing law and concerns

These terms and our services are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, including UU No. 27 of 2022 where personal data is involved.

If you have a concern, contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve it directly. This does not restrict your right to seek remedies under Indonesian law, including through the Badan Penyelesaian Sengketa Konsumen (BPSK) or the courts of Surabaya.

Updates

We may update these website terms. The date above identifies the latest version. Website updates do not by themselves change an existing project agreement.
